A two-week teaching on brokenmess where we are going to talk about how the Bible addresses why brokenness happens and how to move forward after it does happen. Here’s our hope and encouragement, broken messes are no match for God’s redemptive touch. Whatever happens to us by way of brokenness, God can use for our good.

When brokenness happens, it can be a shock to our system. One thing that can result from the disorientation of brokenness is getting stuck in the pain, held in place by the disappointment. Like a commonly experienced nightmare…we can’t move, can’t scream. We’re just there, a victim of our brokenmess. But from the story of Jonah, we will learn some actions we can take to help us move forward out of our brokenmess.

Take a hard honest look at why brokenness occurs with the goal of understanding what to do when it happens. From Hebrews 12 we’ll see how Jesus pressed through the brokenmess of the cross to get to the other side.  We too can set our eyes on the other side of brokenness to embrace a hope, the joy of God’s redemptive work.
