We are thankful for 13 years of investment in this house from the Weathers family. During his time here at Turning Point, the Lord has allowed Pastor Allen to have different points of direction and leadership as part of His training, development, and readiness for Allen to step into a lead pastor role. We stand with the Weather's family and are excited for this new path God is calling them too. Be on the look out soon, for a time that we will celebrate and send them off with blessings and encouragement as they step out in faith.

Turning Point Family….

In Psalm 27:13 we read these words:

I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.

In our amazing thirteen years together – God’s goodness has been so prevalent… so visible… and so strong.  Our fun little Weathers crew is forever grateful for your love, laughter, and your generous hearts… all of which so wonderfully reflect God’s heart!  We’ve never been short on God’s goodness as a church family – and may He be ever praised for His faithfulness toward us.  As we have served and grown together over the years – God planted a vision in my heart that I believe is blooming into life this year.

A little more than five years ago, I began to sense the Lord giving me vision and direction for my next season of leadership. The phrase the Lord put on my heart was this, “Old Architecture – New Wine!” And since that time, I have patiently and persistently kept my eye on the horizon… curious as to where that leadership opportunity might be found.  Over these last five years, God has connected me with some spiritually-vibrantpeople as well as some outstanding leaders… chief among them, our incredible TPCC Senior Pastor lineup of Andy Wood, John Wagner, and Chuck Angel! To have such a great relationship with each of these men is truly a gift.  I cannot begin to describe to you all the ways the Lord has resourced me to step into this new season with confidence and connection… but what I can say is, that His preparation has been thorough – and encouraging!

In the spring of this year – God opened the door for our family to step into this vision! We connected with a fun church in the capital city of Louisiana – the Vineyard Church of Baton Rouge. After a great weekend of connection and ministry there – they asked us to join them in ministry and life as their next Lead Pastor! I graciously (and enthusiastically!) said “Yes!” We are beyond excited to step out and see more of God’s goodness in a new corner of the Kingdom.

We ask you guys to join us in our “Yes!” And there are two ways you can do that:

1. Cover our family in prayer.

Everyone knows the realities, excitement, and challenges of a move.  Two words at the center of our prayers in this time are ‘favor’ and ‘protection.’ We are grateful for your prayer-covering however the Lord would lead you to pray!

2. Join us in our ‘Yes!’

Whatever God may be inviting you into in this season of life… we encourage you – SAY YES! New spoonful’s of His goodness are found in His invitations and our obedience. Step into the adventure of saying ‘Yes!’ to God… whatever His invitation might be.

Turning Point – W E   L O V E   Y O U  ! !  And we know that every syllable of this Scripture will continue to rise up among you as you faithfully pursue the Lord:

And now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you, is faithful. And he will do it!

The Lord is with you –

The Weathers Crew!
