This group is for anyone taking care of a loved one, but overwhelmed with everything because of work or limited opportunity to learn how to take care of an adult with special needs and intimidating equipment! Does your loved one use a medical lift chair, power mobility device, wheelchair, gait belt, walker, tub transfer bench that was dropped off without any instructions or explanations, and you wish someone would explain the purpose, versatility, options, and safe set up of special equipment? Would it help you to be taught where to put your hands for safe, comfortable and effective transfers, walking, and bed mobility? Or, you are attempting to care for someone with special needs due to a hip replacement, knee replacement, or dementia? We will grow in our ability to be caregivers and together as believers in Christ.
This group meets 1st and 3rd Thursday night at TPCC.
